Nirozi is dedicated to and inspired by my late grandmother, Purobi, a self-starter herself. It is a celebration of all the women in my life who have taught me the true meaning of empowerment.

My first experience merging entrepreneurship and my love for jewelry came in the fourth grade when I started a “shop” called Fancy Fancies with my friends. We used to make jewelry out of beads all by ourselves during our lunchtime to sell to everyone at school. I still remember and think of that time fondly.

I founded Nirozi a few months after my grandma passed away. She loved all things fashion. She always cultivated and encouraged my love for fashion. Thus, Nirozi is my way of honoring her. It also helped me channel my grief in a healthy way.

The purpose of my business goes beyond making South-Asian jewelry more accessible for us here in the US. Through my business, I want to support other brown women-owned small businesses and artisans. Most of the products you will find at my shop are sourced directly from other women-owned small businesses or the artisans themselves. When you support my brand, you are also helping other family-run small businesses. I encourage you to keep shopping small; it goes a long way.

I started this venture on a whim and had no idea that I’d grow to love it as much as I do. I couldn’t have done it without all the women in my life who supported me and my business every step of the way. You will find some of them modeling my jewelry all over this site.

As cliche as it sounds, Nirozi is indeed my happy place, my labor of love, where I get to express my creativity and bring my vision to life. You will find beautiful pieces curated by me that I love and personally would wear. I hope that you will find something for yourself that you will love and be comfortable wearing.

Thank you for choosing Nirozi!

With love,
Nizzy
