Recreating Alia Bhatt-inspired minimal glam look!
I have been a fan of Alia Bhatt's movies for a while, and she has been on my style inspiration mood board lately. Her minimal glam is exactly what I love; I mean, take her wedding photos, for example!! And after going through two years of lockdown during the pandemic, I don't think we have the energy or the time to do a whole glam situation every time we leave the house. Don't get me wrong, I love a good glam session, but I usually save that for weddings or fancier events. So I did a simple glam inspired by her, and I think it would be perfect for Eid if you are into the minimal look like myself.
It's essential to start the makeup with a good canvas; good skin is everything. So prep your skin according to your needs first. I have dry skin and an uneven skin tone. I start with my daily Cetaphil moisturizer with an SPF of 15, followed by my HOLY GRAIL, Unseen Sunscreen from Supergoop (do not skip this step, don't!).
I usually do this step at the very end or right after my skincare- brows! I use the Milani eyebrow kit (Okay, is this discontinued? can't find the link anymore but you can literally use any other brow powder or even a matte brown eyeshadow) to fill in my brows in the shade dark. I don't do a lot of shaping - I fill in the sparse areas or where needed, and it gives my whole face a polished look.
Then I use the Fenty Beauty cream blush in rose latte (if you have a similar skin tone or are closer to me, don't walk, RUN and get this blush now!) to add color to my face. It is the perfect natural blush color for my skin tone to give me that natural glowy look.
Next, I used Fenty Beauty Match Stix in Starstruck on my eyes to accentuate my eyes. The key to using this product is to warm it up in the back of the hand and then apply it. I finish the complexion with Becca's Champagne Pop highlighter. I take the lightest amount on a fluffy brush and run it over the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, inner corner of my eyes, and Cupid's bow. I then go with a few layers of mascara to make the eyes pop.
Lastly, I use the Mac Bated Breath matte lipstick, which is a perfect brown shade for me, and I use the Tower28 lip gloss in Almond on top, it's a beautiful sheer nude tone that's just the icing on the cake. I love this lip combo, and it's genuinely match-made in heaven; thank me later(TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!).
Now to the outfit. Alia Bhatt has been wearing beautiful simple sarees paired with statement jewelry with minimal glam and polished waves for the hair. I picked out this white floral saree since it's springtime. Florals for spring? Groundbreaking! This saree is light but still eye-catching. I paired it with a pink blouse to add more color to the outfit. I'm obsessed with oxidized silver, so I added these statement jhumkas to add glamour to my look. For the final step, I gave my hair loose curls, and That's it for my Alia Bhatt-inspired look.
Let me know what you all think about it and what celebrities' looks you would like to see me recreate in the future.
Love,
Nizzy
